How Do You Spend My Donation?
100% of your membership fees will be spent on our Beekeepers For Life communities.
This is an initiative of Bees Abroad, a registered UK charity. All membership donations are eligible for Gift Aid. The Gift Aid form takes less than 30 second to complete, and will add an additional 25p per pound donated.
How does Gift Aid work?
Gift Aid is a government initiative, allowing donations given to charity to be tax-effective. Meaning your donation each month will be worth more, at no cost to yourself.
After filling in our Gift Aid declaration form, we can claim the tax back on your donations. For every £1 donated, we can claim an additional 25p from the government.
You qualify for Gift Aid if you meet the following criteria:
You are a UK taxpayer
You pay enough tax*
*You pay Income Tax and/or Capital Gains tax at a rate at least equal to the amount of Gift Aid claimed on all your donations in that tax year, otherwise it is your responsibility to pay the difference.

Bees Abroad are a global community of volunteers. For over 21 years they have been working to alleviate poverty through beekeeping in some of the poorest communities in Africa. With over 50 active projects throughout Africa.
They train rural communities in local beekeeping practices, enabling participants to generate a sustainable income to improve their livelihood.

Why is Beekeepers For Life Focused on Women Led Groups?
Bees Abroad has worked with and grown many successful Women's Groups in Africa over the years. Through the dedication and commitment of the women-led groups, there has been such a positive impact in women being able to take control of their destiny and gain financial independence of their lives. Now is our opportunity to grow on these successful Bees Abroad women-led projects.
This sense of community provides an excellent cornerstone for creating effective local Beekeeper For Life clusters.
